Accomplishing something that is not a natural strength.

I have heard people say that often those who excel in a field struggled in that area at the beginning. In other words, it wasn’t something that came naturally, but is something they worked hard at and in the process got really good at it.

Maybe that is because we are forced to focus on the process rather than the result if we are not yet good at something? And the process is what’s important in the long run to create lasting improvement and change.
