Does triathlon cause stress in your life or is it a source of stress relief?

Chronic stress that many of us carry around because of thoughts about the importance of the work we do, all the things we must get done, or our own negative self talk, puts a huge strain on our body. It interferes with the way we burn fuel (food), with our ability to get restorative sleep, and much more.

It’s worth honestly evaluating what role triathlon plays for you. I have heard medical professionals say that running, particularly long distances, is horrible for our bodies. But I get such a great mental boost that I refuse to stop at this time in my life, for better or for worse.
