Morning workouts.

Your alarm goes off. You were up a lot the night before, unable to sleep. Or you got to bed late and don’t quite feel rested. Do you let yourself sleep more or do you hop out of bed and get your planned workout in?

I have done both. Sometimes I really need that sleep, other times I really need the workout and can deal with one night without a full night’s sleep. Yet, when I am training for something big with workout after workout, it can be difficult to let myself sleep even when that is really what I need.

What do you do? Are you able to trust your intuition as to what you need the most in that moment? Does sleep win too often? Or your push to always do all the things and to get that workout in?
