I am traveling and recently had the opportunity to follow someone with an Ironman Maryland jacket so that I could say hello and talk IM.

Triathlon builds community with those of similar interest, and it’s a good reminder that wearing tri gear can be a connecting point.

Which also goes for any of our interests.

Finding like minded people online certainly opens up possibilities we didn’t have not that long ago. It connects us with people we would otherwise not have the opportunity to interact with, and even meet later on. But it’s no substitute for real life meetings.
