Choosing kindness.

I thought that she was wrong. I didn’t want to spend more time to get what I wanted. This frustration simmered to anger, and I wanted to take it out on her. I wanted to yell at her to let her know she was wrong.

“Be polite” I told myself. She was probably trying to do her job the best way she knew how.

In response, she provided an option that didn’t involve more work on my end. She said she would have a more concrete answer many hours later. I assured her that I knew she was busy, and it was okay.

Less than 30 minutes later I had my answer; and it was the one I wanted to hear.

A polite reminder that kindness usually yields better results than anger.
