I went shopping for a single folder. There it was – one folder, exactly the kind I wanted. Normally they are sold in a pack, but for some reason one was out of a pack and ready just for me.

Ha ha.

Since the big chain store usually sells them as a pack and has no way to sell me just one, I had to buy a full pack. They couldn’t give it to me either.

Maybe they will send it back to big corporate. Maybe they will throw it away. Either way, it will never be used, but I couldn’t use it either.

This is why I like working for myself. This is why I should have gone to the local stationary store that has the leeway to do things that make sense.
