I spend a lot of time thinking about career and where it fits into my life. I personally want my career to be my job and I am not so good about compromise in this particular area.

But this video was shared with me recently. In it, Elizabeth Gilbert discusses the difference between a hobby, job, and vocation. It is worth a listen for anyone wanting to spend time on a creative pursuit that isn’t currently their job, especially if you think you want to make money in that pursuit.
