A standard work day.

It’s funny that we have a standard work day based on time.

Sometimes we might have super productive morning and get as much done as it would an 8 hours the next day.

Other times we might spend 2 hours on something that is so mentally or emotionally taxing that we are not much use for the rest of the day.

I suspect many are discovering this if they are working from home. Or at least possibly playing with our two bit and still turning in the same work to their boss. It might even be better work! Well at the same time allowing for more family time.

Sometimes timed to work is essential. A prison guard needs to be there for his entire shift. His employer is indeed paying for his presence. That is the product.

But the person processing time sheets just needs to have them in on time, actual hours are not the product.
