In this podcast, Dr. Stefi Cohen shares her experience in physical therapy school when she had an injury, and her expert teachers all had different diagnosis for the what/why/how. What she learned is that these experts didn’t necessarily know everything.
I am continually amazed to recognize this because we turn to experts so readily in our culture. We trust others to give us information.
I would rather trust most of the time, but we also must recognize that it is okay to be critical, to seek a second opinion, and to even do our own research. We are allowed to have our own opinion even though we are not the ‘expert’.
