I dreamt I was starting an Ironman….with absolutely no training. It was just there and something I was supposed to do, but as I got into the water I come in it that I had not swum and over a year (which is true). I knew I was in reasonable shape…but not at all prepared for that type of distance.
For most of us, if we attempt something like that without training up to the distance, we would not finish but would still probably injure ourselves deeply in the process. It’s not a good idea.
Sometimes it is great to jump in and try something no matter what!! You can figure it out as you go.
Other times it is best to slow down and get the tools we need for whatever it is we want to do.
I do not always understand the difference and it can be a rocky road. How about you?
