Short vs. long term.

I am starting a diet tomorrow, so I will eat what I want today.

I am going to start running tomorrow, let me enjoy the freedom of not doing so today.

We’ve all been there. Something we really want is starting in the future, so we want to ‘be really bad’ until the self-imposed date to start being good.

It is the battle of short-term self and long-term goals.

Getting out of routine is great at times, but a constant yo-yo probably is a sign that the short term is winning, and maybe you need to change tactics?

That might be easing off on the short term goals and giving yourself something really small to focus on?
