I just spent a week in an incredibly immersive, indescribable, but amazing experience. I wonder how that will change what I write and how I show up! Time will tell.
But one insight that was so powerful and might translate to someone who didn’t have the experience: we all experience eachother differently.
Sure, in some sense, duh. However, in this group we were honest and really learned how our behaviors can be received through the lens of another person’s experience. When I think I am being kind to another, it can actually be perceived as cold and even hurtful.
Thus, why be anyone other than yourself? If someone will react negatively, might as well just be you. It’s easier that way.
