I am practicing self compassion when I make mistakes. But I find it to be an interesting push and pull. I want to get continually better at things and push myself, and yet to also be okay with mistakes. It feels somewhat contradictory. However, no matter who we are and what we are doing, if we are moving the needle forward, we will make mistakes.
Thus, in part, the self-compassion is a recognition that we are only human. A human in the world trying our best, and our best is good enough.
