Dealing with pre-race jitters and unplanned circumstances.

I know that many athletes get very uptight leading up to a race, particularly a long distance tri. After months of training who wants to get sick or otherwise not show up 100% on race day. I do as well though I think it’s less and less. It’s hard to be that stressed after traveling around the world and wanting to explore what’s around far more than worrying. Plus my schedule and surroundings are so different.

Currently I’m adding to that some serious Zen practice as my suitcase have now been missing for over 24 hours…with some race and race prep essentials inside.
