Shared tips for dealing with race day nerves.

I’m dealing with some nerves at the moment. Not in a good way like race-day nerves, but I find it fascinating how my body reacts on an unconscious level despite how I might wish my body to react.

I’m sharing this article about race day nerves to help if you have a race coming up…or even a performance of a different kind.

My own practice when it comes to race day nerves has been to stick within my own bubble. I take time to myself and take time to breathe. I create a list for race morning so that it is less likely that I will forget something. And I will enjoy friendly conversations when starting to line up at the start line, but I make sure not to get too involved with another person whose nerves are going nuts – I want to be supportive, but it isn’t the time to let someone else’s nerves rub off on me.
