As the rain pours down outside, I am reminded that whether the weather is bad or good is a choice we make. If one is safe (our weather has caused some damage and my condolences go out to anyone who suffered), maybe rain, wind, snow are all great reasons to celebrate being outside.
I heard about a father who decided not to refer to weather as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ when he had kids. He went further and made a point to go out and play when it was wet or otherwise what some might call ‘bad’. Sure enough, his son didn’t develop the idea of ‘bad’ weather and enjoyed going out in the rain as much as the sunshine.
