What comes first: food or exercise?

If you want to eat better and exercise more, where do you begin?

It is a discussion or debate I have heard discussed many times. Reasonably, different people have had success starting in a different place and so they may tout what they have found successful.

I think that you should start with whatever change is easiest for you to make.

But what I don’t hear as often is that there may be a connection between the two. For me personally, I find that it is easier for me to eat well, and eat less when I’m exercising heavily. I think I have a ridiculously slow metabolism, and by exercising a lot I feel hunger more profoundly and somehow find it easier to stop when full. I’m sure there are more details at play as well, but I think this is one of the reasons that I feel so good and love training for triathlons.

That’s just me. What works best for you?
