I’m sitting in sunny California watching cyclists pass by on a busy road. A road frequented by cyclists, but with little shoulder and too-frequent crashes.

But it’s winter and the local residents get to ride outside. In shorts!

It looks so much nicer than garage riding in the winter…but every climate has its trade-offs.
