I recently had a funny conversation in which I told someone that I generally do not show up more than 90% for anything that I’m doing.
We lost connection shortly after I admitted this and I thought maybe she no longer wanted anything to do with someone who didn’t give 100% even to the things she cared about.
Some people are near-perfectionists and produce great work.
Some are perfectionists and are too paralyzed to produce any work at all because it’s not perfect.
Some people produce a lot of work that isn’t quite ready but some of their work ends up great.
Some people produce a lot of work that is never great.
Where do you stand on the spectrum?
Let me know if this resonates with you. It’s a concept that I may want to explore deeper…though this first iteration putting it into words may not make any sense.
