We can’t opt out of the uncertainty, risk, and emotional exposure that’s woven through our daily experiences. Life is vulnerable.
~ Brene Brown, Daring Greatly
While life may be vulnerable, we still get to choose how open we are to being vulnerable in our own lives.
Will you choose to take more risk in your human interactions, despite uncertainty? Or will you play it safer?
Whether we acknowledge it or not, we choose our risk every day. Whether that’s deciding how often to go to the grocery store, to get a haircut, or to go to a party despite the risk of COVID-19 (along with all other risks that you are used to considering such as other traffic, bears jumping into the road, spider bites, etc), or if it’s deciding to have that difficult conversation with a friend or to get up and speak at an event.
