Being present.

If it is worth doing at all, it is probably worth doing fully present.

Many things feel like we can do while multitasking, but can we really or are we just cheating ourselves?

This includes showing up for things. If we are still distracted and thinking about what was just happening or what’s next we can ruin the moment with somebody or doing the next thing.

I have shown up to a couple of meetings lately, I didn’t know what to expect in the meeting and I was not prepared to be present. Both with people I have never met and first impressions are important. Both instances the other person was leading the meeting and so I felt I didn’t need to prepare but was reminded that we always need to be prepared to show up and be present.
