As a business owner it is amazing how many other businesses I can and do support. I currently have about 10 different software subscriptions. And I often have occasion to buy gifts for clients or community members who referred my services. This purchasing power means that I can decide on a regular basis who and what I want to support.

It is exciting in a small community to think that we can all be a part of supporting our own economy.

Of course there are products and services I’m not going to get locally.

One service I turn to is WeTransfer. This company allows myself and my clients to transfer documents back and forth with added security protection. I was happy to learn that we transfer recently became a b corporation. That means that while they are still a for-profit company they will make a commitment to also pay attention to their role and ability to also think about their greater purpose in a global community.
