Busyness and priorities.

Being busy is really just a shift of priorities. You may have a project that takes over for a while, or maybe you get so busy with your job that it takes over your entire career, being busy one thing to the next with breaks that are barely long enough to refresh until it is time to retire.

In my experience with busyness, I think I often get busy without really realizing what is happening. It is probably worthwhile to reflect back on how we are spending our time every so often to take stock of whether our priorities are in the right place. And if we are too busy to do so, well we should probably realize that we could wake up in 40 years and wonder how we ended up prioritizing the busyness of our lives over ensuring we were spending our time how we really wanted to.
