If you ever need a reminder of the power of expectation, simply think of how you feel on Saturday or Sunday morning (if you work M-F).
If you don’t have anything planned, your day may be sluggish. Perhaps you want to sleep in. Perhaps you have little energy for much.
There is no reason that you should have low energy after 5 days of working. Sure, eventually you are going to need a break from work. Maybe that’s after 7 days, or 10 days, or maybe you should actually work 3 or 4 days in a row before you get a break to recharge. But when we expect something, our brains rearrange to meet the challenge.
What’s your next challenge?
