I recently purchased an electric bike to commute to my office!

Practical? Yes. As long as I use it continually.

But I want to tap into the fun that it can bring. Speeding down the road, avoiding the gas stations, pulling right up to the bike rack near the office and locking up ready to go – without having to drive the streets to look for parking.

I tend to live on the serious side of life, and this bring playfulness into my day. I can pretend that it is an environmentally friendly choice, and maybe it will prove to be, but it also cost a lot of money and takes up a lot of space in the garage. I bought it for fun more than practical reasons, though the practical provided excuses. And as I ride it around early in 2021, I can’t help but continuing to think: “I choose fun in 2021”.
