It continues to amaze me how little I remember from one moment to the next. The theory behind the productivity system “Getting Things Done” is that our brains were not yet to hold things, and I think it is true. However, there has to be some balance between being in the present moment and then being able to remember what was discussed.
If you have ever dealt with a major medical condition, you have probably experienced leaving the office with complete understanding about the conversation just had, and then moments later find yourself wondering “what’s next” or “what did the doctor say?”
I am working on getting in the habit of taking better notes and storing them in the right places, but it certainly isn’t easy.
