If we decide we want to do something big, how do we go about accomplishing it?
I recently spoke with someone about a building project, and he was so incredibly helpful about how to think through things, plan, and the next steps. It was an exercise in how to think.
Law school was largely an education in how to think about problems as well. In many ways, that is what lawyers do. It’s exactly what I do as an estate planning attorney – I walk clients through a design process to help them think about things they might not have otherwise thought of, or help them accomplish their objective that they don’t otherwise know or are not thinking about.
This high-level ‘how to think’ thinking I believe is often looked over or not valued high enough, but it can go a long way!
