I met a shop owner on Christmas Eve who will be working hard till 10pm…at least, that’s how late her store is open. She has progressive MS that makes it difficult to walk, and a small dog that holds down the shop with her.

The holiday may not be meaningful to her, but I sensed it is, and that her store is where she wants to spend it.

I enjoy seeing someone create something so meaningful to them, when they probably have other options.

While many of us think we should take time off this time of year, it’s important to stay in touch with what WE really want, not what we should want.
