Customer Service.

Where is the line between being a pushy sales person and a caring person who goes out of their way to help you?

I think the answer lies in permission.

And, this may extend past selling.

What if you show interest in something, but you are not ready to buy, and the person calls you every couple of days asking if you are ready to buy?

Every day? Once a week? Once a month?

You may appreciate the reminder. Or you may be pissed off. The only way we will know is to ask you if we can remind you, and then to ask how often you would like a reminder.

We make assumptions when we don’t hear back from people, but those assumptions are often based on our own self-centered view and borne out of our own insecurity. Usually, it has to do with them and not with us.
