Whose fault? A look in the mirror.

Oh no, I didn’t have x, why, or z for my meeting! What did someone do wrong by not telling me about it?

Oh, it’s me. I did not prepare enough for this meeting and missed something I should have caught before it started.

As I get busier, and put more systems in place, and have more people helping with those systems, sometimes there are a few bumps along the road.

It is not always easy for me to recognize that it is entirely my fault. But it pretty much always is. And, I think it is important to recognize when we make mistakes that it too is part of the process. Especially as things get more complicated. And as we grow, they will get complicated, and that’s what we want, but must remain diligent as we establish our systems and our own processes.
